Lock 20 West to Lock 11 West
Since our previous update, our local team have successfully completed a temporary repair to reduce the flow from the leak near Bridge 91, while a permanent repair solution is developed and a suitable date for the works is agreed. Following the completion of these works, water levels have now been replenished and full navigation has resumed.

Since our last update, our local team has continued working to replenish water levels. During these efforts, a leak has been identified near Bridge 91, Bottoms Bridge.
Our teams are now preparing to carry out a temporary repair to the leak while continuing work to restore water levels. Once water levels have recovered sufficiently and it is safe to do so, navigation will be reopened.
We will provide a further update on or before Friday 2 October.

Navigation remains closed between Lock 11 West and Lock 20 West on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.
Following investigations by our local team, no leak has been identified. It has, however, become apparent that a number of paddles had been left open overnight, resulting in a sudden drop in water levels within this section of the canal.
Our team is continuing to replenish water levels and monitor the situation. As soon as water levels have recovered sufficiently to allow for safe navigation, the closure will be lifted.
A further update will be provided on Wednesday 30 September.

Navigation is currently closed between Lock 11 West and Lock 20 West on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal due to a possible leak, which is resulting in low water levels.
Our local team are currently on site carrying out investigations to identify the cause of the issue.
