Water levels remain significantly low, there is a small but steady inflow entering the system, and based on current conditions we expect levels to return to a navigable depth by tomorrow. This closure is essential to prevent damage to the canal infrastructure and to ensure safe passage once navigation reopens.

Please be advised that due to low water levels, we have had to temporarily close the navigation, effective immediately. Navigating during these low-water conditions poses significant risks to boats grounding, propeller damage, and potential structural issues within the channels and locks. Our operations teams are working to manage water levels. We are unable to provide an exact reopening time, but our teams are evaluating the situation continuously. Further updates will be issued as soon as new information becomes available or as water conditions begin to improve. We apologize for any inconvenience, disruption, or delay this temporary closure may cause to your journey.
Conditions can change. Check local signage and the latest official notice before travelling.
