The moorings at the Ellesmere Port National Waterways Museum will be unavailable from Saturday 15 August at 6 pm until Sunday 16 August at 5 pm due to a horse boating event being held at the museum.

We are pleased to welcome the event for all the family to enjoy with live entertainment and so much to see and do, from boat trips, horse boating, lock and engine demonstrations, to live music, traditional crafts, stalls and activities.

The canal will remain open to navigation during this period. However, all customers are asked to approach the area with care and follow any advice or instructions provided by event staff on site. For further information about the gathering, please visit Horse Boating Live

Conditions can change. Check local signage and the latest official notice before travelling.
