Bridge 127, Sealand Road to Lock No 3, River Dee Lock

Third-party contractors will be working between Bridge 127 at Sealand Road and Lock 3 on the Dee Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal to facilitate the removal of flood defence gates.

The works have been delayed due to ongoing council works in the area and are now scheduled to take place on Thursday 3 September, between 6 pm and 10 pm.

Whilst both the towpath and navigation will remain open, we ask all customers to approach the area with caution and follow any advice or instructions given by the contractors on site.

Third-party contractors will be on site between Bridge 127, Sealand Road and Lock 3 on the Dee Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal to allow the removal of flood defence gates.

The works are scheduled to take place from 6pm on Tuesday 1 September 2026 until 10pm on Wednesday 14 October 2026.

Whilst both the towpath and navigation will remain open, we would request all customers to approach the area with caution and listen to any advice that may be given by the contractors on site.
