Repairs to the damaged heel post at Lock 19, Stoke Bruerne, will take place from Monday 17 August to Wednesday 19 August.
During this closure, our team will replace and brace the heel post, along with carrying out any additional repairs identified while the lock is out of service. These temporary works will allow wide beam boats passage through the lock until the planned winter stoppage in January 2027, when the gates at Lock 19 are scheduled to be fully replaced.
We will make every effort to complete the repairs within the planned timeframe. If there are any changes to the schedule, this notice will be updated with the latest information.
