Update history

To help conserve water resources during the current period of dry weather, we are temporarily restricting passage through Frankton Locks to a maximum of four passages up and four passages down per day until the end of July.

This measure has been introduced due to ongoing pressures on water supplies and difficulties replenishing water levels at Hurleston Reservoir, which is an important source of water for the canal network.

We will continue to closely monitor water availability and weather conditions and will review these restrictions should significant rainfall improve the situation.

Online booking is available, please click to Book your passage online

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to manage water resources and maintain navigation across the network.

Conditions can change. Check local signage and the latest official notice before travelling.
