Due to the complexity of the repair for Lock 19, we are not yet able to confirm a date for these works.

The repair will require multiple contractors and specialist lifting equipment, and the lock will need to be closed for two to three days while the work is carried out.

We will update this notice as soon as a confirmed date for the repair is available.

Tue, Jul 14

The team have successfully carried out a repair and the faulty gate has now been secured in the closed position.

We can now open the flight fully for passage to narrowboats only. Restricted passage will be available through the flight from 10am, last boat in at 2pm. Lock 19 will be operated by staff and volunteers.

Widebeam passage is unfortunately not currently available.

We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and will update this notice when we have further information.
