Navigation is restricted at Brunswick Lock due to a fault affecting the hydraulic motor mounting that operates the lock

In the meantime, it has been agreed that the lock may be operated on a limited basis to provide access for Liverpool Marina customers.

Customers requiring to use the lock should contact Liverpool Marina directly for information of the restricted operating times.

Contractors are scheduled to attend site from Thursday 6 August until Friday 14 August inclusive to carry out the necessary repairs.

During this period, Brunswick Lock will be closed to navigation.

Further inspection and repair work are still required to rectify the issue. In the meantime, it has been agreed that the lock may be operated on a limited basis to provide access for Liverpool Marina customers.

Our engineers have attended site and carried out an initial inspection of the lock. Further investigation is now required, and specialist contractors will be attending early next week to investigate further and plan a method of repair.
