Please could boaters be aware that there is a sunken boat approximately 20 metres up stream from Kirklees Low Lock. The boat is partially visible above the waterline and is currently passable.

The Operations team is looking into ways to remove the boat with minimum disruption to users on the Navigation and to the remains of the boat, to minimise the spread of loose debris.

The area is passable with care, please progress slowly as you enter and leave the lock.

This notice will be updated when more information is available.
