We kindly remind boaters to follow the signage in place at the site. In particular:

  • Boaters must pass the site at tickover speed only.
  • Boats should pass as close to the offside as possible to minimise bow waves and prevent the bunds from being pulled away from the waterway wall.

Wed, Apr 15

We're pleased to advise that the navigation and towpath are open again.

Contractors have removed the contaminated pipework and the pollution has naturally biodegraded. The only remaining active pollution is limited to an area where residual material is leaching through the waterway wall, which has been fully contained by bunding.
