A towpath closure is required to enable the Transpennine Route Upgrade works to proceed safely with a new viaduct construction at Ravensthorpe.
The towpath closure will be in place until the 31st July 2026. This is due to delays in the phases of working for the viaduct construction and the towpath needs to remain closed for safety reasons.
Please adhere to towpath diversion routes and Contractors instructions.
