Latest information

The pump out facility at Naburn continues to be unavailable. During the transition from card payments to contactless, tests carried out by the contractor suggested that the mobile phone signal in the area would be strong enough to enable the process the work. Unfortunately, in practice, this has proved not to be the case and therefore, they have had to switch off the pump out. Also, it has been found that there is a blockage somewhere between the nozzle of the pipe and the sub pump. This blockage appears to be at a point under the road, making removal difficult. The pipe has been repeatedly jetted but this has not resolved the issue. It may be that the road above needs to be dug up, to access the pipe and remove the blockage. However, as the Trust does not own the road, this issue has had to be referred to those responsible. It is hoped that these issues will both be resolved in the near future. In the meantime, pump out is available at Selby Customer Service facilities and Elsan facilities in York (York City Council owned and located behind the Star Inn).
