Bridge 1B, Lyons Bridge to Lock 1, Poolstock Locks

The towpath remains closed between Bridge 1B (Lyons Bridge) and Lock 1 Poolstock Locks on the Leigh Branch of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal due to the partial collapse of a building owned by a third party. 

Our teams continue to be in contact with the local authority and relevant parties, and are awaiting the owners of the building to arrange for the removal of debris from the area.

Navigation remains open, but please proceed through the area with caution, signage is in place for the short diversion.
