Towpath between Bishopton Lane Bridge 63 and Timothy Road Bridge 64

The Trust is working closely with Stratford-on-Avon District Council to facilitate the reopening of the towpath. At present, the Trust cannot undertake any remedial works to the towpath until the adjoining land, which is owned by the Council, has been stabilised.

The Council is liaising with its tenant to ensure that the stabilisation works are carried out, and the Trust is monitoring progress to ensure that these works are completed without undue delay.

The towpath between Bishopton Lane Bridge 63 and Timothy Road Bridge 64 on the South Stratford Canal remains closed. We are continuing to work with the adjacent landowners to facilitate the reinstatement of their land and progress towards a resolution that will allow safe public access.

We've had to temporarily close the towpath between Bishopton Lane Bridge and Timothy Road Bridge on the South Stratford Canal. A recent landslip has made this section of towpath unsafe, and we have taken the decision to close it immediately.
